We’re excited to introduce a powerful new addition to the Members List: you can now collect and save member birthdates in two new core member fields: Birthdate and Age, using Flows, Integrations, or CSV imports.

Strive supports both day/month and day/month/year formats. This flexibility makes it easy to begin celebrating your supporters right away.

Campaigns can easily import or sync bday data from a CSV or their integrated CRM (such as EveryAction or ActionKit). Optionally, you can ask subscribers to share their bdays over text! Collect Info bot actions will parse for bday information or calculate birthday information using AI. Date inputs are recognized in any format, enabling automated data collection without requiring subscribers to follow a specific format. Strive's artificial intelligence can recognize thousands of variations, including relative dates at the time of collection (i.e. my birthday was yesterday!). In the example below, we simulated this flow on Wednesday, July 16th. AI was able to determine yesterday was July 15th, and Friday is July 18th.

If a member’s full birthdate (with year) is collected or imported, Strive will automatically calculate their age, which can then be used for audience segmentation and dynamic fields. This means you can tailor messages not just by someone's birthday, but also by age range — a great way to make your outreach even more personal and relevant.

Tip: Pair this feature with Repeating Broadcasts and Dynamic Groups to make birthday wishes easy. Just set it up once, and Strive will automatically send personalized birthday messages every day to each member on their bday.

In the example above, the campaign has set up a repeating broadcast to automatically send a happy birthday message to any member who's birthday is today. The birthday fields, along with the repeating broadcast feature, allows you to scale personalized outreach without having to set up a birthday message each day.
